Role Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer and Team Lead, you will play a central role in shaping and scaling our data platform while leading a team of data engineers.
You will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, contributing to architecture, standards, and ways of working across a modern cloud-based data environment.
The role sits at the intersection of technology and leadership: you are expected to drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality, scalable data solutions that enable data-driven services across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Who You Are
You are a senior data engineer with a strong foundation in modern data platforms and a natural inclination to take ownership and lead others.
You combine hands-on technical expertise with the ability to guide teams and influence decisions in a collaborative environment.
You are comfortable working in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders and shared data assets, and you understand the importance of scalable design, governance, and clear standards.
Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL is expected, along with a solid understanding of data architecture principles.
You value mentoring, knowledge sharing, and building robust solutions that others can build upon.

You will be part of the AI & Analytics team within Digital Services, working at the core of Scania’s data-driven transformation.
The team consists of data engineers, data scientists, and MLOps professionals collaborating to build scalable data and AI capabilities.
We operate in a modern, cloud-based environment and focus on enabling reusable data products, strong engineering practices, and distributed ownership of data.
The team works closely with stakeholders across the organization, contributing to solutions that support global commercial and operational use cases.
