The opportunity

We’re looking for a passionate IT/OT Engineer to join our transformation journey as we shift from project‑based delivery to modern, product‑oriented systems.

In this role, you’ll help design and structure the test and simulation solutions our global project teams rely on.
You’ll work with platforms based on the integration of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) at HVDC, with a strong focus on OT systems, HMI solutions, and virtualized test environments.

You will assess the current test setup and help evolve the base solutions to optimize effort by creating reusable test, simulation, and verification components.
These components are expected to work both independently and in integrated environments, enabling early verification while remaining exchangeable without sacrificing quality.

Developed test and simulation components must be validated and integrated to ensure correct service delivery to our customers.
By creating and maintaining documentation, you’ll support both your team and project teams with traceability discipline, test coverage transparency, and configuration governance.

Working at the intersection of IT and OT, you’ll tackle real challenges, build scalable test and simulation solutions, and influence how we verify and deliver high‑quality systems.

How you will make an impact:

• Develop OT and HMI test and simulation components within the IT/OT platforms
• Design reusable test setups that support standardized verification across projects
• Support virtualization and simulation environments to reduce infrastructure dependency
• Translate test requirements into structured and traceable test implementations
• Support versioning, baseline control, and configuration governance for test assets
• Provide insights to improve test strategies, coverage, and verification efficiency

Background:

• Experience working with OT systems, testing, or simulation in industrial environments
• Understanding of IT/OT platforms and system verification principles
• Experience with virtual testing, simulation, or automated test environments
• Ability to document test solutions in a structured and traceable manner
• A collaborative mindset and interest in cross‑functional teamwork
